Japanese will charge electric vehicles directly from the roadway

A group of specialists from the Japanese University of Technology Toyohashi have developed a method for charging electric cars directly during movement. For this purpose, the electricity is brought through the roadway and the tires, Japanese media reported, quoted by ITAR-TASS and BTA. Scientists have found that the tires may let through high-frequency current, enabling batteries to be charged directly at the movement. Experiments have shown that loss of energy like this electricity transmission is very small. And the high-frequency current is relatively safe for humans.
The Technological University of Toyohashi hope that the new technology will facilitate the use of electric vehicles, because the created so far charging stations are not enough.
